Kristin Fassler joined the Atria Publishing Group in August 2018, in the newly-created role of Vice-President and Director of Integrated Marketing, overseeing the merger of the marketing and publicity departments for a more unified and insights-driven approach. She was most recently the Director of Marketing for the Ballantine Bantam Dell division of Penguin Random House. Kristin speaks regularly about marketing and branding at publishing events such as PubTechConnect and Book Expo America; at academic institutions including New York University and the Yale School of Management; and at consumer and marketing industry conferences hosted by the Association of National Advertisers, Argyle Executive Forums and Brand Innovators Summits.

David Brown has spearheaded the #1 New York Times bestselling campaigns of Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, and Jodi Picoult. Additionally, he has led publicity campaigns for John Lescroart, John Connolly, William Kent Krueger, and Ben Mezrich. In 2014 he helped launch the careers of Terry Hayes (I Am Pilgrim) and Caroline Kepnes (You, Hidden Bodies).

Lisa Sciambra joined Atria Books in October 2009 and enjoys coordinating publicity campaigns for a wide variety of books by bestselling authors including Rachael Ray, Jennifer Weiner, Kate Morton, Nicolle Wallace, Keywords Press author Joey Graceffa, and the #1 New York Times bestselling FastDiet franchise.
Associate Director of Publicity
Yona Deshommes is responsible for coordinating publicity for Strebor Books (Atria's African-American literature line). She is also the in-house publicity liaison for Monamie Books, Atria’s newest imprint. She has worked with a myriad of authors that include New York Times bestselling authors Charlie Wilson (I Am Charlie Wilson), Issa Rae (Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl) TD Jakes (Let It Go), Zane (Addicted), Dr. Tererai Trent (Awakened Woman) Common, (One Day It’ll All Make Sense) and Marc Lamont Hill (Nobody). Her current and upcoming projects include Black Girls Rock! by Beverly Bond, Heads of the Colored People by Nafissa Thompson Spires, I Can’t Date Jesus by Michael Arceneaux, Everyday People by Jennifer Baker, The Answer: It Was In Me by Joan Morgan and Taking the Arrow Out of the Heart by Alice Walker.
Assistant Director of Publicity
Ariele joined Atria in 2010 and has launched New York Times bestselling publicity efforts for commercial, literary, mystery, and romantic fiction, as well as pop culture focused titles with Big Bang Theory star Kunal Nayyar, writer and actress Issa Rae, and actor Russell Brand, among others. Some of her most notable authors include Fredrik Backman (A Man Called Ove, Beartown), Colleen Hoover (All Your Perfects, It Ends With Us), and Lisa Jewell (Then She Was Gone, I Found You). She also oversees publicity and tours for the Keywords Press imprint with digital talent such as New York Times bestsellers Shane Dawson and Connor Franta.
Milena joined Atria Books in June 2017. She was previously at Penguin Random House where she managed publicity campaigns for a wide array of authors including Mike Tyson, comedian Phoebe Robinson, youtuber Mamrie Hart, music journalist Greil Marcus, pop culture writer Anne Helen Petersen and Pulitzer Prize winning writer Stephen Hunter.
Mirtha joined Atria in October 2014 and handles nonfiction, as well as a wide variety of genres in fiction including fantasy, mystery, and historical. She is also responsible for coordinating publicity for all of our Spanish titles and has worked with New York Times bestselling author María Dueñas and award-winning journalist Maria Celeste Arrarás.
Stephanie joined Atria in 2016 and handles the publicity for a variety of genres, including literary fiction and serious nonfiction. She enjoys building the profiles of debut authors such as Carola Lovering (Tell Me Lies) and Moriel Rothman-Zecher (Sadness Is A White Bird), further establishing the platforms of sophomore and house authors such as Amy Poeppel (Small Admissions, Limelight) and Jess Kidd (Himself, Mr. Flood’s Last Resort), and bringing to light conversation-shifting nonfiction like Soraya Chemaly’s forthcoming Rage Becomes Her.
Alison joined Atria Books in October 2016. She is a graduate of St. Olaf College, and the Columbia Publishing Course.
Natalia Vargas-Caba is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, where she majored in Creative Writing and Spanish. She joined the Atria Books publicity team in August 2017.
Meriah joined Atria Publicity in June 2018. She graduated from The College of New Jersey, where she studied English and linguistics. She assists Kristin Fassler in day-to-day departmental operations and Ariele Fredman in the publicity of her titles.
